"Cubes"

In December 2014, Mary Papademas unveiled her groundbreaking work "Cubes" at Othellos Theater (Hilton Cyprus), introducing audiences to her innovative contemporary technique. This pioneering approach transformed oil-on-canvas paintings into captivating three-dimensional expressions through her signature multi-level cubic technique.

This artistic methodology revealed subtle compositional relationships that, through visual reconstruction, gradually guide viewers back to the original figure. The viewing experience follows a circular path of progressive understanding, prompting a redefinition of initial perceptions until the complete image integrates into the subconscious mind.

The initial encounter with the work evokes a sense of satisfaction as the viewer decodes the expressed message—demonstrating how redefinition emerges naturally from the reconstruction process. This intellectual and emotional journey created a uniquely interactive experience between artwork and observer.

The exhibition was honored with an inaugural ceremony led by Mr. Photis Photiou, Presidential Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, further affirming the cultural significance of Papademas' artistic innovation.
