About Mary Papademas
Mary Papademas is a Greek Cypriot artist born and raised in Limassol, whose artistic journey blossomed in the enchanting city of Stockholm. It was amid Sweden's distinctive nordic landscapes where her initial works were conceived and brought to life.
Spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Mary Papademas' artistic vision has been profoundly shaped by her experiences living across three continents and eight countries. This rich cultural tapestry has infused her work with diverse artistic influences, creating a distinctive and evolving aesthetic that transcends geographical boundaries. Through numerous exhibitions, Papademas' artwork has quickly gained international recognition and appreciation. Her pieces have been acquired by collectors from across the global art community, ensuring the widespread circulation of her creative vision throughout the contemporary art world.
Mary's artistic expression spans abstract oil paintings, striking sculptures, and innovative wall installations. Her work embodies a contemporary interpretation of figurative art, forging powerful connections to the tangible world with particular emphasis on the human form.
She has garnered recognition for her commanding sculptures and distinctive wall installations, characterized by their emergence from meticulously crafted geometric surfaces that challenge conventional spatial relationships.
